Things to do in Vancouver this week | Jan. 18 - Jan. 24

Can you believe that we're already halfway through January?

Time flies by fast, and while most of us are still stuck at home with the public health protocols, there are still things to do in the comfort of your own home, and around the city (safely).

Check out the Things to do in Vancouver this week!

Going out for a stroll and some fresh air? We suggest walking along the pier of White Rock and viewing the beautiful lights before it ends on Saturday!

Details: 4:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. everyday until Saturday, January 23, 2021.

"How do astronomers learn about stars, galaxies, and the universe from so far away? Join us at the Space Centre on January 23rd or 24th and learn about the tools they use, and what different types of light reveal to us about some of the mysteries of the universe."

Registration details are here! They will only be hosting eight people at a time with strict social distance protocols! If you are uncomfortable, they also host virtual programming!

Check out the details, here!

"At Unscripted: Made in Canada, online Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 5:00pm PST, playwright Pedro Chamale invites you into the test kitchen of his new work, which highlights the unseen people who plant, tend and harvest our food. This live-streamed event is part cooking show, part "kitchen table talk" with special guests who explore the fallout from our reliance on the exploitation of migrant workers to put food on Canadian tables and the roles artist might play in making change. Join us, we have saved you a seat at our table!"

Details: FREE, Please register at WeShowUp here:

You may also book tickets by emailing: davey@playwrightstheatre.com

"The 11th annual Vancouver Short Film Festival is launching online via Eventival Virtual from January 22—24, 2021. Join us for three days of the best short films BC has to offer! Film Programmes will also be available up to 7 days after their weekend premiere."
