5 awesome sandwich shops in Vancouver to satisfy your cravings

Who doesn't love a good ol' classic sandwich?

Bread, fillings, and all kinds of the works can be the best breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or snack food options; you can eat it whenever, however, wherever, and that's what makes it a staple in pretty much ANY cuisine out there.

Luckily for us here in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, we've got a great group of delicious sandwich shops and spots for you to satisfy your cravings, get you that quick and convenient fill-up, or to indulge when you want to feel comfortable and stuffed.

Here are five of our favourite sandwich spots around town! (This definitely won't be the last sandwich list we write about)

When we say Salty's Lobster Shack is one of the best sandwich shops in Vancouver, we mean it.

Their fresh crab or lobster rolls, bites, and bisques are seriously to-die-for. Rich, savoury, refreshing; it's a high-end, quality product for a great price. Delicious and affordable, and a great option as a snack or for lunch!

They're set up at a great location for you, your friends, or your significant other to lay a blanket down on the grass, hang out in the sun, and enjoy a delicious sandwich!

Some of the best porchetta, ever.

Meat & Bread is known as a Vancouver staple from their world-famous porchetta sandwich to their ever-changing specials and sides.

If you're a first-timer, we recommend the porchetta sandwich with a side of mustard to dip; it's one of the best combinations playing with savoury and sour flavours that'll make you crave it over and over again.

You can order pick-up, delivery, or try their meal kits to enjoy a Meat & Bread spread that'll have you full for days. They've got four locations in Vancouver for you to try! Make sure to get in and order early, cause they go FAST!

Wanna try some of the best bagels around? Rosemary Rocksalt is one of the go-to spots for their freshly-baked bagels, and yummy sandwiches.

You can switch it up from their all-day breakfast bagel sandwich menu or their regular sandwich menu that is made up of nine incredible sandwiches, focusing on local ingredients and Canadian classics.

Our personal favourite that we recommend you try is the Steveston which is Wild BC Sockeye Salmon, cream cheese, red onion, and capers. Make it a combo by adding a soup, fries, yam fries, or poutine, and you'll get a free drink!

If you don't know what Banh Mi is, then you will now.

Banh Mi is a Vietnamese word for bread, and is a fusion sandwich combining meats and vegetables from Native Vietnamese cuisine with condiments from French cuisine.

You can choose from chicken, beef, pork, cold cuts, meatballs, and so much more. Plus, they're incredibly affordable and make a great snack, lunch, dinner, or late-night option!

La Charcuterie Delicatessen labels themselves as the best deli in British Columbia, and they might have a case.

Their sandwiches are HUGE, and are available in a wide variety of their fresh and curated meats, cold cuts, and more!

They're a fun time, and we give extra brownie points for their service and support to the community.
