5 Dessert Spots to Cool Down from this Hot, Scorching Vancouver Weather

It's getting hotter, and hotter... and hotter in Vancouver. This Summer's weather has been up and down, but when it's been nice and sunny, it's been blazing hot out there.

So, we've mustered up a list of some of our favourite chill dessert spots to cool down from the heat!

If you're not a boba or bubble tea lover, this place can change that.

Milk & Sugar is a small cafe located in East Vancouver, just out of the Burnaby border along Kingsway.

This spot is one of our favourites for their affordable, delicious, but enormous selection of bubble tea drinks, sweets, and if you're feeling hungry, they've got a small food menu to go along with your drink!

One our favourites was the Blueberry cheesecake; that was to DIE for. They've got tons of special flavours every day, make this your next dessert spot next time you're in the area.

Need to cool down with some sweet ice cream? Got it. Want a refreshing soda where you go "ahh" after the first sip? Cool. What about a delicious milkshake that leaves you wanting more? Yup.

Glenburn Soda Fountain in North Burnaby is THE perfect spot to cool down after a long day in the sun, or to chill out and feel refreshed. From floats, ice cream scoops, milkshakes, sundaes, egg malts, to tons of soda flavours... they've got it all.

There's no way you don't know about a local favourite!

Earnest Ice Cream is known for their delicious, simple flavours packed up in an aesthetically-pleasing jar. They've got some of the most to-die-for flavours; some of our favourites are Salted Caramel, London Fog, and Whiskey Hazelnut!

Want Instagram-worthy waffles paired with Instagram-worthy milkshakes that look like something out of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives?

Off the Grid Waffle Cafe is mouth-watering, sweet, and will satisfy all kinds of sweet-tooth cravings.

If we're talking about cooling down, shaved ice is probably as close to a food representation there can be.

Icy Bar is an authentic Taiwanese cold dessert spot that specializes in big bowls of flavoured shaved ice, fresh fruit, and other exciting toppings to topple over those cravings.

They also do milk teas, milkshakes, slush drinks, grass jelly drinks, and much more!

They're also featured at the Richmond Night Market every year!
