Things to do in Vancouver this Week | Oct. 19 - Oct. 25

Another week, another chance for some fun!

We're in this time of the year where the weather is a bit cold, cold enough to make you stay inside, but festive enough with Halloween and the holiday season approaching to make you feel adventurous.

If you're up for a good time, whether it's an event, a scare, or some delicious food, we've got some things to do in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland for you this week!

"This year’s Celebrate the Night on October 25 will have two exciting main features.

The first is the Lights & Laser Drive-In, a pre-registered, 30 minute experience from the safety of your vehicle featuring a spectacular display of projections, lights and lasers! There will also be a live performance by Dr. Strangelove, a highly entertaining, multi-faceted, six-piece dance band with five talented lead vocalists, who can cover everything from Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga, and from AC/DC to Shania Twain."

For tickets and more details, check it out on their website here!

On October 24, Arts Umbrella will be hosting their Splash Art Auction & Gala, a flagship fundraiser focused on supporting youth arts programming through a combination of online and in-person experiences, presented by Nicola Wealth.

For more details and tickets, visit here!

On October 25, Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. will be hosting an exciting Halloween event for families from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy dinner and relax with a glass of wine while the kids take part in some spooky table fun!

  • Halloween Pizza Making

  • Creepy Crawly Candy Shoot

Starting today, Oct. 19, until Sunday, Oct. 25, The Vancouver Writers Fest is hosting their 2020 Vancouver Writers Festival. There's a plethora of authors to hear exciting stories from through this live, free or pay-what-you-can event.

This event is open to youth, adults, parents, so on and so forth!

"Held every Sunday morning from May to October 9:00 am – 1:00 pm outside the Dogwood Pavilion at Poirier St. and Winslow Ave., the market offers products that are made, baked, grown or raised in BC.  Enjoy a spectacular selection of goods and foods."
